Coalition of Advocacy Groups Calls for Legislative Action on Behalf of Texas Homeowners

For the first time ever, the Environmental Protection Agency finalized two rollbacks to the nation’s premier toxic pollution disclosure program, the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). The changes announced today enable facilities to withhold currently reported information about toxic chemicals and restricts public access to information about toxic pollution.

284 Chemical Facilities Have Changed Technology to Protect 30 Million Americans

284 chemical facilities in 47 states successfully reduced the danger of a chemical release by switching to less acutely hazardous processes or chemicals, according to a new Center for American Progress report released today by the Texas Public Interest Research Group (TexPIRG).
